SUCCESS Stories of Risk Transformed into Opportunity

These real-world examples highlight our strategic approach to complex challenges and our commitment to client success.

Case Study 1

Client

A fast-growing technology and communications company employing approximately 1,800 people across 37 countries.

Requirements

Ensure employee benefits in accordance with market practice in the tech industry and implement unified global employee benefits under the condition of cost savings and continued local compliance. Countries with single digit employee numbers should also be included in the global plan.

Approach

We performed benchmarking and gave market advice for employee benefits. One of our insurance partners designed a single Pan-European policy for life, disability, accident and critical Illness insurance that allowed employees within Europe to choose their preferred cover within agreed limits, while simultaneously developing a parallel global solution for employees based outside Europe.

Dependents could be insured for the same premium and under the same terms and conditions. Enrolments, claims processing, premium-setting, and free-cover limits were consolidated, ensuring that local offices of any size—from a handful of employees to several hundred—operated under the same streamlined structure.

Results (Pan-European Solution combined with Multinational Policy)

This approach produced a 30% reduction in employee benefit cost. Cost predictability improved significantly through a single set of premium rates and unified free-cover limits and terms and conditions, eliminating the need for country-by-country budgeting. All employees and their dependants received consistent, high-quality coverage and support, regardless of their office location.

Case Study 2

Client

One of the top audit firms operating across Central and Eastern Europe and the Caspian region, spreading over 28 countries with approximately 8,800 employees.

Requirements

Localised employee benefits packages tailored to each of the local market’s regulations and customs, cover for expatriate staff, all with a centralised design to lower the administrative burden and save costs.

Approach

We engaged our insurance partners in each of the countries to deliver compliant life, accident and income protection plans aligned with national regulations, while partnering with a specialist global underwriter to cover expatriates, and address gaps where local markets lacked suitable products.

All local and expatriate plans were rolled up into one global framework featuring single unit rates, standardised underwriting terms, and uniform free-cover limits. We also introduced a profit-sharing pool to return profits to the client at renewal.

Results (Multinational Pooling)

Every local employee received a fully compliant benefits package, while expatriates also enjoyed seamless coverage. By implementing single unit rates and a profit-sharing mechanism, the client reduced aggregate premium by 40%.
